Psychology of Music: Citation Indexes

Sempre are delighted to announce that Psychology of Music has been accepted for coverage in the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), the Arts & Humanities Citation Index, CC/A&H (Current Contents/Arts & Humanities) and CC/S&BS (Current Contents/Social & Behavioural Sciences). As far as we know, this is quite unusual for a journal to be accepted by both the Arts & Humanities and the Social Science Citation Index at the same time. On behalf of Sempre, I take this opportunity to thank our publishers, SAGE, the journal editors (past and present) and editorial teams, referees, trustees and all our friends in the academic community for their support in enabling us to achieve this coverage. Research Studies in Music Education

Research Studies in Music Education journal coverResearch Studies in Music Education (ISSN1321-103X) was founded in 1993 to provide a quality peer-reviewed research publication for the Asia-Pacific region. In the ensuing years RSME has developed as a highly regarded international journal publishing scholarly research articles from and for music education researchers. As of January 2007 RSME has affiliated with the Society for Education, Music and Psychology Research (SEMPRE), and is published by SAGE for a global audience.

RSME provides an international forum for the dissemination of research in music education and the related fields of the philosophy, psychology and sociology of music education. The journal seeks to promote the exchange of ideas and to encourage dialogue between researchers internationally on both substantive and methodological issues in music education research.

Published studies report a broad range of issues in music education including curriculum and assessment, pedagogy, developmental theory, comparative music educational studies, and, the theory and practice of music education. The journal emphasises research that investigates issues in music learning and teaching as it occurs in educational settings in schools and communities.
